1. Applied epidemiological research and analysis of routinely collected surveillance data for evaluation of immunisation programs.
2. Epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious diseases, particularly vaccine preventable diseases.
3. Evaluation of public health programs across a broad range of areas to improve effectiveness in achieving program goals (see publications).
4. Scholarship in learning and teaching focussing on improving both the online and classroom experience and engagement of Masters coursework students in Public Health and other health-related degrees.
My research and teaching are strongly linked. I have developed and taught courses in core epidemiology and immunisation policy and practice to Master of Public Health students and previously had oversight of learning and teaching for postgraduate coursework students at UNSW Medicine in my role of Associate Dean for Postgraduate Coursework.
