Selection for admission
Selection for admission to all graduate coursework programs is based on the information supplied in your application. All applications will be acknowledged by the UNSW Admissions Office and then assessed for eligibility by the School.
Successful applicants will be sent an offer of admission with details of acceptance and enrolment procedures by the UNSW Admissions Office and should accept their offer as soon as possible to reserve their place. Information about enrolment and course selection will be sent by the School once the offer has been accepted.
Important note for international applicants
International applicants must accept their offer, pay a deposit and pay for Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) to secure a place in the program. An electronic confirmation of enrolment for overseas students (e-COE) will then be issued. This is required to apply for a student visa.
English Language Requirements
Students whose first language is not English, or who have not undertaken a degree where the language of instruction was English, are required to demonstrate their English competency.
Note: Admission to our programs is competitive and completion of IELTS or TOEFL is highly recommended.
Please see the UNSW English Requirements website for details of accepted tests and required scores.
Students requesting an English Waiver will need to contact the UNSW Admissions office to request this via their online enquiry form. Further information can be found on the English Language Requirements website.
All international students must obtain a valid visa from the Australian Government for the duration of their degree program. Visa application procedures, visa types and requirements are determined and governed by the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection. For information about applying for visas in your own country see the listing of Australian Diplomatic Missions.
Detailed information about Student Visa requirements can be found on the UNSW Student Visa website.
