PHUM Structure

We have built connecting bridges between clinicians, policy makers and scientists to form a national multidisciplinary research group to undertake and supervise drug studies.

This structure means we have the capacity to undertake policy relevant research.

Each collaborating investigator is a leader in their practice discipline with extensive experience in programs relating to population health and measurement of health outcomes relating to drug therapies.

To date, links with research partners have been established in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Canberra.

The project teams use data from existing secondary and supplementary Australian databases to systematically establish and/or evaluate health outcomes related to patterns of medicine use by the community.
