Our Teaching

We deliver high quality teaching to our diverse body of students in the school across a range of programs. Our teaching staff are not only experts in their field but the majority of them also currently practise in the area, allowing the link between theory and practice to remain strong.

In addition our teaching:

    • Is responsive to the needs of both international and local students, building on the experiences our students bring to their learning
    • Promotes high levels of interaction and collaboration through innovative delivery methods, including online learning
    • Undergoes continual improvement, through the evaluative processes at university, faculty and school level.
The commitment to teaching is reflected in the high level of support offered to teaching staff not only through the resources available from the university, such as the Learning and Teaching Unit,  but within the school itself. The Professional Education Group is a group of staff in the school who are interested in the scholarship of learning and teaching, undertaking projects in curriculum development, online learning and teaching, reflective practice, learning portfolios, clinical education, educational evaluation and assessment.

The Instructional Development Team resources educational development across the school, incorporating staff development in the design, development and evaluation of both print and web-based courses, learning resources and student support materials. This includes the development of graduate capabilities for the programs and use of educational technology for learning and teaching.
